Frequently asked questions

We answer questions about armwrestling and training at our club

Armwrestling (arm wrestling) is a strength sport in which opponents try to pin each other's hand down onto a pad on a specialised table. It is a discipline that requires not only raw strength, but above all:

  • Technique - there are many fighting styles (top roll, hook, press)
  • Reflexes - the start and reacting to your opponent's moves
  • Strategy - reading your opponent and choosing tactics
  • Endurance - the ability to hold position under pressure

Armwrestling is an organised sport with official federations, weight categories and championships at national and international levels.

Yes, provided you use proper technique and adequate preparation. The most common injuries (e.g. elbow or shoulder injuries) result from incorrect technique - which is why we teach safe body positioning from the very first session.

At Zloty Tur club:

  • Every session starts with a warm-up
  • We teach correct arm positioning to prevent injuries
  • We gradually build strength and tendon resilience
  • Training sessions are led by experienced competitors

Armwrestling training is available for children from approximately 10 years of age, teenagers and adults. There is no upper age limit - people aged 50+ compete in tournaments!

The training programme is tailored to the participant's age and skill level. For younger participants we focus on general physical development and technique, rather than maximum strength.

Minors require written parental consent or that of a legal guardian.

Club fees are affordable:

  • Membership with training: 50 PLN / month
  • Supporting membership: 15 PLN / month (without training)
  • First trial session: free of charge

The fee covers all training sessions in the month. There are no additional charges for equipment or use of the hall.

Training sessions take place at the club hall at ul. Towarowa 23A, 84-230 Rumia:

  • Monday: 16:00 - 19:00
  • Wednesday: 16:00 - 19:00
  • Thursday: 16:00 - 19:00
  • Sunday: 9:00 - 10:30

You can attend whichever sessions you choose - you don't have to come to every one. However, regular attendance helps you progress faster!

Of course! Most of our members started from scratch. You don't need armwrestling experience or even regular gym attendance.

During training we teach:

  • The basics of arm wrestling technique
  • Exercises to strengthen hands, wrists and forearms
  • Fighting tactics and strategy
  • Safety rules and injury prevention

Come for a free trial session and see for yourself!

Yes! Armwrestling can be practised by people with various conditions and disabilities.

The club's founder, Konrad Krawczuk, a World Champion and multiple winner of international tournaments and Polish Championships, is himself a person with a moderate disability. Thanks to this, we know exactly how to adapt training to the individual needs and abilities of every athlete.

Welcome - everyone will find their place at the table here!
